What does it look like? When we find Sanatana Dharma. Finding ways to attack The promised protections That we have. How long should they have to wait For support in Puerto Rico? Democracy in America Sold to the highest bidder. Cozy up to dictators For billion dollar arms deals. Profit off of our dead soldiers And come home lost Get fed to pharma. Come home lost Get fed to pharma Incivility Incivility Ignoring all science and reason. Incivility Incivility Running over our protections. Incivility Incivility Ignoring all science and reason. Incivility Incivility Running over our protections. Incivility.

I’ll miss those Urban nights Little did I realize that Standing on those South Grand heights The west is where you’d set your sights You chased a dream Vegas set you free Some people are Better off transient Looking toward the western shore Through a snow globe on your shelf And a framed illustration of a feathered skull I’ll miss those Urban nights Little did I realize that Standing on those South Grand heights The west is where you’d set your sights Time now passed and I can’t grasp when We last laughed on Fremont Street I can’t grasp when You chased your dream You fought disease Too much time spent Living in hospitals Looking back on those Midwest days The turntable Spinning “Our Own Way” And a framed illustration of a feathered skull I’ll miss those Urban nights. Little did I realize that Standing on those South Grand Heights The west is where you’d set your I’ll miss those Urban nights I’ll miss those Urban nights I’ll miss those Urban nights The West is where you set your sights.

Lock the door Swallow the key To your thoughts That show a hint of insanity You look so good on the outside Inside you are Inside you are (inside you are) Inside you are Suffocating Are you alone tonight? In your room or in your head (in your head) Trapped inside the walls of anxiety Or are you hiding? Hiding instead. Lock your door Swallow your pride And never talk about it And now you’re drowning on the inside Showing a broken periphery Inside you are Suffocating Are you alone tonight? In your room or in your head (in your head) Trapped inside the walls of anxiety Or are you hiding? Hiding instead. Are you alone? Are you alone? Are you alone? Are you alone? Trapped inside, the walls of anxiety. Or are you hiding instead.

I’ve got a constant sense When they attack us, we’re on the mend. Instilling doubt in our hearts A weapon loaded to tear us apart. Our worth Our potential Politics disguised as opinion Our worth Our potential An attempt to shame us to submission Navigate us, stay the course We’re holding onto all of our self-worth. Pushing back against them Empty all our doubts within it. Our worth Our potential Politics disguised as opinion Our worth Our potential An attempt to shame us to submission Our worth Our worth Our worth Our worth I’ve got a constant sense We’ve got a need to defend Approximations and When they attack us, we’re on the mend. Our Worth is our potential An attempt to shame us to submission Our Worth is our potential An attempt to shame us to submission

Xavier 03:30
Why don’t you protest for us? Were children’s deaths not unjust? Was our loss not enough For just one tweet in your social cause? Were we not enough To not be forgotten in just one month? I hope I never feel the I hope I never Pain of Xavier’s mother. I hope I never have that feeling I hope I never That he is never coming home again. She said she felt relief inside That he was only seven when he died. Those streets never had the chance To ruin the life he never had. Those streets..never..had the chance. I hope I never feel the I hope I never Pain of Xavier’s mother. I hope I never have that feeling I hope I never That he’s never coming home again. The sun has set on days of only Skinned knees and bullies. I hope I never feel the I hope I never Pain of Xavier’s sister. I hope I never have that feeling I hope I never That he’s never coming home again. They both got swept up in a war. Now their lives aren’t what they once were It ripped him from his mother’s arms. And shook a city to its core.

about

The follow up to 2011's Bridges, Science & Reason is the first material by The Disappeared in 9 years. This record is unapologetically and unmistakably The Disappeared, drawing on the sound they have cultivated over a 15 year career. The lyrics are as poignant and biting as ever, and the music as crisp and tight as it has ever been. Add in a special cover of Husker Du's "The Girl Who Lives on Heaven Hill" to close the EP out, and you have the band's strongest and most focused effort to date.

about

The Disappeared St Louis, Missouri

The band formed in 2006 and quickly became one
of the Midwest’s best up and coming bands, being recognized by Alternative Press as one of
2009’s “100 Bands To Know”. Their second and third EP’s drew comparisons to bands like Seaweed
and Boy Sets Fire, alike. Vans Warped Tour and Gainesville, Florida’s punk rock
mecca, The Fest followed. Now back with their 6th record "Science & Reason".
